Seriously, though, nice pickups by your boys.
WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
Sexson and Beltre added to the lineup!
That's potentially 100 HR's/year right there!
We're pleased for you.

Hey Lycan, I hear your team has started one of those prescription from Canada deals. Nice to know they don't have to go to the usual sources for their "medications" anymore.
<font size="4" face="Arial">Hey, at least my team's superstar still produces, unlike your team's steroid slugger (*cough* Sosa....*cough* Sosa). Or is it Frank Thomas? Cubbies, White Sox....same difference, if you ask me. Originally posted by Carl I.:

btw, Dan, you guys might wanna get some pitching. Just a suggestion.
btw, Sandi, thanx for the catcher.
I have NO affiliation with Sosa and have hated that SOB longer than pretty much most BBall fans. I also despise the Cubs.
Frank Thomas? Yeah, I would LOVE to see anybody accuse that guys of 'roid abuse. He is probably the most clean player in the game and has always said the game needs testing to prevent the steroid abuse. Thomas has always been as big as he is, he's a football player. He was on his way to producing caree numbers last year before the injury hit. He has always been a great player, his main problem is that his beginning was SO damned impressive, that he couldn't possibly meet the expectations set for himself for an entire career. Plus, his decline is normal, as with most players that get old.
Bonds is a freak of science. Somehow he has avoided the breakdown that 'roids will cause. Credit to him for that. Lets see what happens now that he might be forced to stop the drug. I don't doubt he will still be as effective on contact with the ball, but it might not go as far. He might actually be the greatest test in baseball history to tell you the truth.
And lets not goof this up anymore, as I have seen you do with me: I am a White Sox freak, and I HATE the Chicago Cubs. I never root for the Cubs, not even to "represent my city". I hate that mentality. I don't really give a fuck what goes on with Chicago, that is NOT my home town. I was born there, lived there for a few months as a newborn, but that is it.
Hey Lycan, you might want to get someone else who can hit besides Bonds. No wonder they walk him every time. Nobody else scares anyone.
I'm just happy the M's are finally stepping up to the pay window, after letting Griffey and A-Rod walk with no compensation, and trading Randy Johnson, rather than pay him, then 2 years in a row after they are gone, we make nice runs, but don't go after that one player that could have put them over the top. I just hope it's not too late. Of course we had to trade Garcia, but got some nice players in return. Jeremy Reed in CF was the minor league player of the year in the White Sox organization, and he got called up to the M's last year, and batted over .400, and looks good in the field. We still have Moyer, Piniero, Meche, Franklin, and a young guy who did pretty well last year named Madrisch. Eddie Guardado is back as our closer, after an injury, so really I just think they need to add a few solid middle relievers, and Winn is on the trading block to add some, or even another starter. Winn is a solid .300 hitter, with speed and a little power, we just have no room for him now with Reed, Ichiro, and Ibanez (now healthy) in the OF. Hopefully Boone will bounce back, and we have a young slick fielding SS, who looks like he could be good too. I guess they might go after Odalis Perez or Kevin Millwood, both decent 3rd or 4th starters....so we'll see.
Exciting times to be a Seattle fan.
Seahawks-1st in their division
Sonics-1st in their division
Husky basketball team-1st in the Pac10, and ranked #16 overall.
Husky football-just hired Ty Willingham to turn things around
Mariners-just signed 2 power hitters!
I LOVE IT!!!
Lycan has a point...If you are going to do steroids, you better at least produce, and Sosa hasn't done much of that lately...
Kudos to the Seattle fans...I think they over paid heavily for both players, and will probably regret it terribly in a couple years, but I know it's exciting for you now, so enjoy it!
Sandi
1. Dan, I hate to play the devil's advocate, but the Hawks play in the NFC west and might win their division with a losing record.
2. Easy Carl, easy.
<font size="4" face="Arial">Trust me, this is only sports we are talking here!!! I don't care all that much and am not worked up at all. Hell, this off season is actually making me dislike the players that much more. Maggs saying the Sox must not want to win because they don't want to pay him!?! In my opinion, if these guys (the players) REALLY wanted to win, they would take pay cuts so that a team could load up on amazing talent and then just destroy all of the opposition. Give me a team with a starting staff of Clemens, Prior, Schilling, that guy from the Marlins (heh, NL, I forgot his name), Johnson, or any of the other great pitchers and replace one of the others. Then a line-up of people like Bonds, Maggs, Biggio, ARod, etc, and you would have a team that would walk away with it no questions asked. But these guys want to be the stars and get paid more than anything else.Originally posted by Cotton Candy Lover:

Fuck 'em.
Like I said, I really don't care all that much about this stuff, it ain't like we are talking tunes.
